Is ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Coming Back?

Jeff Garlin and Larry David

It has been nearly three years since a new episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm last aired but that drought could come to an end soon.

Although the show was never canceled, Larry David never committed to making season 9. Last year, Jeff Garlin, who has moved on to star in the CBS sitcom, The Goldbergs, said back in 2013 that there was a decent chance that Curb would return for a ninth season.

“I don’t know. I really don’t know,” said Larry David. “I couldn’t say. Ask me in six months.”

Well, it has been eight months now and this news just broke:

Of course, that’s little more than a rumor from a Chicago Cubs broadcaster (Garlin was at the Phillies/Cubs ballgame in Chicago singing, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”) but, if it came from Garlin, the rumor must have some legs.

It will be a while whether or not this turns out to be true but, at this point, there is no reason not to be optimistic.
